Summer Vacation

Souffle: Since I'm super bored, I'm actually going to post today :D What time did you wake up today? Are you going to Borders anytime soon because I need to go. What have you been doing besides occupying your time with Pet Society and Restaurant City?

Polarjelly: Very glad that you bothered to post, but not glad with whatever you're assuming that I'm doing. :C For your information, I am posting meaningful crap on Tumblr...ahahaha. No Facebook can suck it, flash is such a lagggggg. :C Borders? I dunno, my mom doesn't want to do ANYTHING, she's just glued to the computer. And my dad's cleaning. I guess I'll call...you want to get the summer assignment books?

Souffle: I see basically everything you post onto Tumblr just because of that application. WE HAVE TO GO TO BORDERS!! Yes, it is because I need to get the summer reading books as you know already, but I am going to tell you again. BTW meaningful crap... what an oxymoron. I also know that you are playing Pet Society and Restaurant City because of guess what? The notifications I get everytime you visit me! :D So...you can't fool me

My Poor Pinkie!

A while ago, I was doing this one drawing from this one drawing book {of course I don't want to be specific}. Anyway, it was this large, shark, thingy in pencil.

DID YOU KNOW THAT SKETCHES REQUIRE SHADING?

Yes, I'm sure you did know that.

So anyway, I usually use my pinkie to smear the lines + blend the graphite. Except after a while it gets red... and painful... and yet my drawing is still not done.

So finally I couldn't put up with it anymore and decided to go to one of those art stores and get a blending stick. Apparently these things are supposed to BLEND THINGS.

I got some, and then I tried to use it to smear they drawing, and YOU KNOW WHAT?

It's absolutely horrible. Does not work at all. Hm.

Here's what mine look like:
If you look closely you can see that it's constructed of layers and layers of paper.

So now I guess I'm back to torturing my poor pinkie. Oh, dear.

Lines on a Page

Every picture in the world in made out of lines. Everything in the world is also formed out of lines, well only in your vision. Colors are then added to the picture, making come to life. You see it in 3-D or 2-D or if it's really bad picture, you just see the lines that make up the page. Amazing isnt it? Letters are formed out of lines and lines form words. Words then form sentences, paragraphs, then a story or a book. Basically, if we looked at our world, we would see everything shaped by lines, straight or not, it just depends.

Conversation #2

Hey, we're back, yippee. -__-
So, today's topic is going to be: drawing.

polarjelly: So, souffle, I know you draw. Do you like drawing, or is it one of those things that you just do when you're really, really bored?

polarjelly: Well, since souffle is just so busy and so not motivated to reply, I suppose we'll just have to leave it at that. I apologize for the short post but, there you have it. :]
souffle: Sheesh... You don't need to leave it just as that.. I am going to post at some point like right now!! Duh...
souffle: Oo... and drawing.. weird topic.. Am I supposed to be the first one to post? I forgot.. It is starting to get confusing now.

Saving Our Planet

Well.. basically I think you get the idea from all the other posts: save water, reuse and recycle paper, and don't waste electricity are just some of the things you can do to help the environment. Ooh and polarjelly, I get the point! And yes.. you called it so I won't punch you for it! And sorry! Sheesh... don't need to get so mad just cause I didn't post.. I'm posting now aren't I?! And NO!! I'm not the one who is a hypocrite. You are too! Hello?! You are the person who stays on the computer the whole day! (and don't say you don't!)

Ooh yea.. add this to the list above about saving the environment.. CARPOOLING! It is the perfect way to reduce the emission of pollution, don't you think so, polarjelly(getting so tired of typing that!)? We need to consider using other ways of transportation instead of just cars to get places. We DO HAVE bicycles and just walking to get to places that are close to us. We don't need to use a car to get to every single place we need to get to (applies to land only). This would also make our lives easier since we don't have to deal with so many traffic jams during rush hour and even when we are driving to school. It would save people from a lot of stress and headaches just from the honking of the horns and the time that you have to wait, inching along the freeway during rush hour.

Basically, the easiest thing for us to make our lives easier and the Earth a better place to live is to just think about how we can help to protect our planet since it's already getting destroyed and we have a hole in our ozone layer already. Well.. this is just the point. All you need to do is THINK! And then you can do something to help. Like before you throw away a piece of paper or leave a room with the lights still on and no one in there, you will consider using that paper as scratch and turning off those lights! YOu would help yourself and everyone around you if you just did those little things.

Fuel Efficiency

WELL! Souffle, you hypocrite. You're the one that takes long showers. Hmp.

Then, there's another aspect of pollution, which would be: the usage of fossil fuels, a more obvious one. Although usually it is though of as mostly cars {gasoline}, there are also many other uses, such as large manufactoring factories, as well as large transportation vessels {ships, airplanes...ect.}. I'm sure you knew all of that.

YOU CAN'T CALL FOR THE BEETLE, SOUFFLE! I CALLED IT A MONTH AGO SINCE YOU TAKE SO LONG TO POST! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

So, here comes the OPINION PART. Muahahahahaha...

Personally, I try to walk as much as I can. In fact, I remember there was a time when I had used a pedometer to count how much I walked...haha. I don't ride airplanes often, and I don't go on cruise ships. I rarely pass by those big long tube-thingies that throw out billows of smoke, and I sure don't want to pass by those things... I suppose sometimes we drive too much even if it is close, but sometimes it's hard to change a habit for other people. Occasionally, the guilt gets to my family...

I sure do know that we can do lots to get our exercise as well as reduce pollution. {Get me a bike for Christmas!} :D

Using Up Our Water

Sheesh.... People these days really don;t seem to care that they are wasting all of our energy when they leave the light on when they aren't even in the room! Doesn't it amaze you polarjelly that people don't care about our environment?! Then there's the problem of people wasting water! Fresh water is such a valuable research and so many people waste it anyways. If we all just cut down on our shower time from like 20 minutes to 10 or maybe even 5 then we would save gallons and gallons of water! Water is even more valuable than food since we can't survive without it for more than 3 days. It is so important! Everyone should remember to save our water and energy to save our planet! Don't you want to be able to live on this planet for a little longer and enjoy the resources that we have? We should treasure this instead of wasting everything.

*Cough *Cough

Ewwww... pollution is gross. Well, at least we are aware of it. EVERYONE, LET'S BE ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY AND COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR SITUATION AND NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! Yea. That's the propoganda.

Oh, the third one is REDUCE. :D

Well, I'm a bit more concerned about the light pollution. It looks so bad. All this stuff... blech. Gross.

And then there's smog. Oh, that smog. I think it kind of contributes to the light pollution to, as it is also something that builds up in the air.

Well, let's be environmentally-friendly and not waste too much electricity. My computer's been on the whole night.. {GASP*!} All that coal is burning up... I'm gonna get bits of random invisible junk when I breathe..... ah. Wheeeeeoooooeeeoooo.. THERE GOES THE AMBULANCE. >:O

Saving Trees

People really need to learn how to recycle paper! Do they have any idea how many trees they are wasting?! It amazes me! How hard is it just to make one piece of paper! It's a lot of work! Whenever I see a classmate just throwing it in the trash can and not the recycling bin, I want to yell," You're wasting paper you know! Do you want our landfills to be filled up with paper and then trash will be spilling onto our front steps? I definitely don't. " We need to be able to live on this Earth as long as it allows which should be a long time as long as we don't pollute! So now.. remember! Don't waste paper! RECYCLE! REUSE! and I can't remember the third one.. Polarjelly, some help?

Conversation #1

polarjelly: Helloooooo! Since we're soooo tired about talking about fruits, smoothies, ect., we have decided {souffle and I} that every once in a while we're going to have sort of like a little "debate." Well, maybe not debate. Something else? This is new, of course. O_o Anyways, there will certainly be a little "conversation" going on, back and forth. Like an instant messaging conversation! Except here we use PROPER grammar and we talk about even weird-er things. Today's topic: paper.

polarjelly: Yes, paper. Would you like to start this off, souffle? Oh wait, I remember. You've abandoned us. How selfish of you. WAKE UP! Geez, I wish I could telepathically get you to type or something! {sigh...*} I suppose we have to wait. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap...

souffle: sheesh.. I'm here and you don't need to be so impatient.. and I didn't abandon you, but yay! You waited for me!

polarjelly: Um.. that's... yea... O_o

souffle: Great.. actually say something please...

polarjelly: Aha, aha. Hey, remember that one paper cut I gave you? AHA, AHA.

souffle: I should really thank you for that. Now every single time i touch something, I feel a sharp pain.. Thank you very much *sarcasm*(just in case you can't tell)

polarjelly: Oh fine, blame ME why don't you. It's the paper, the PAPER! Paper can be so evil sometimes.

souffle: I am blaming you! The person who turned the page cause the paper cut! And that would be you!!

polarjelly: {sigh...*} So anyway, what's your opinion on paper waste? Should companies keep using paper... or not use paper for packaging + products?

souffle: I think they should, but recycle because plastic takes forever to break down. And don't even try to say anything about biodegragable bags.. They are expensive to make although i think we really should find a way to mass produce them.

polarjelly: Yop, but I would rather prefer promoting canvas bags - they help boost pride in enviromentally-friendly events.

souffle: Huh? I have no clue what you mean.. You mean like those Trader Joe's bags?

polarjelly: Yea, something like that. Do you recycle paper?

souffle: Yea.. no duh! I keep on lecturing people about it at school and then I have so much scratch paper in my little cupboard thing..

polarjelly: Haha, I noticed. So um, this thing's getting kind of long... O_o This concludes our segment! We'll be back... maybe? BYEBYE!

souffle: Yes.. bye bye! Tune in next time!

Orange Juice :D

Fresh juice is sooooooooo yummy! Can you believe that some people hate fruits? Can you believe it polarjelly? Isn't it amazing?! Without fruits, then we wouldn't have fruit juice, fruitsnacks, and who knows wat other stuff is made out of fruits...Fruits, fruits, fruits, and more fruits...and then there's the other things we need to eat to keep healthy though for some reason, people don't like eating them.. That really bugs me. There's meat, bread, and then a bunch of other things we don't eat because we all just like to eat junk food. No wonder so many people are obese..Well..I'm not going to say anything else since polarjelly is going to keep on bothering me if I don't publish this soon.

Chomp Chomp*

Fruits... Yes, fruits are indeed yummy. Fruits that I like include: apples, pears, bananas, cherries, watermelon, ect.

Fruits that I don't like include: papaya, oranges, grapes, ect.

I don't eat too many fruits. I'M GUILTY! GUILTY, GUILTY!! Shame on myself. I should replace all the other food groups with fruits. :D

Nah, I'm kidding. I still need my protein. Protein had HIGHER priority than fruit! OHHHH, WHAT NOW, SOUFFLE?! :] I'm kidding.

Tomatoes... I LOVE tomatoes.. I eat it everyday. Organic and fresh from Farmer's Markets. Are they fruits or vegetables? Hm... I wonder.

HA! See, souffle, I posted today. THAT'S RIGHT! I didn't forget. :P

Saturday, February 9, 2008

yummy!!! :D

Fruits , fruits, and more fruits! Fruits are so yummy! Polarjelly do you enjoy the taste of fruits? And yes, I'm going to go on and insult your poem. I can do as I choose since I can do what I want. And I love fruits!

Who knew fruits could look so yummy?! I used to hate them before... How about you, polarjelly? I also never knew how different fruits tasted... They all have their own unique, weird, and strange taste...and I don't know how desserts like me seem to love fruits on top of themselves (refer to pic of souflle). And just to clarify something souflles and other desserts don't like poems, definitely not ones about lemon water. xD

Friday, February 8, 2008

Fine, Then

Hmp. Insult that poem why don't you, souffle. Who knew desserts had such attitude. {snicker~snicker}

Horsies are like SOOOOOOOOOOOO big. Has anyone seen one up close before? ESPECIALLY the carriage ones. They can stomp + flatten + make anyone into a smoothie. Smoothies are good, but sometimes it gets yucky when its bubbly...

I've always thought that people shouldn't ride horses. It just seems wrong that we would treat it as a transportation device, or even a lesiure device {horse-racing}. Then, I noticed how well people treat the horse, and the conditions that they live in. Their poop still smells, though.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

My parents make good smoothies. But sometimes they put too much weird stuff in it. Like fruit. Souffle, do you like fruit? :)

Patriotism

Poems... It doesn't matter how long they are, what sensory description they use, or even what it's about. It's what it was written for that matters. The poem by Sylvia Plath seems to have no meaning even with its line "Lemon water, chicken water, water make me wretch". It sets a tone which makes me feel strange and make me wonder what the rest of the poem is like. Poems.. They are used to express your feelings and your way of communicating with your knowledge of words. No matter how you string them together, it is its meaning to you that matters and is the most significant. Accuracy doesn't even have to be accomplished. For example in "Paul Revere's Ride", the author had intended for the reader to gain a sense of patriotism and a love for their country. He didn't care about the accuracy of his information. Longfellow never mentions that Revere had been captured by the British during his ride or even that there were three other riders. In our opinion, poems are meant to get a message or purpose across. And always thinks of those few lines of Sylvia Plath's poem "Lemon water, chicked water, water make me wretch".

"Lemon water, chicken water, water make me wretch."

Water. This one time I was listening to a reading of Sylvia Plath's poem on NPR, "Fever 103" and it was written in this ominous, creepy style. In it there was this line {that I don't exactly know word for word}, "Lemon water, chicken water, water make me wretch." I'm not really sure why I was reminded of that, I guess I really enjoyed the poem. The people who hosted this poetry interpretation thingie, they talked about Sylvia Plath herself. [that's a picture of her] Apparently she was someone who had great poetry writing skills, but was a little strange and suicided around her 30's. Really cool poem though. Hey souffle, have you heard this poem before?

Waterfalls. They look funny. Don't you ever wonder why there's always a bunch of water rushing down the stream? I mean, there is a process involved [mountains...gravity...sunlight-->evaporation...] But it just seems all so strange. Where do you get such heights and such space of elevation? Well, it is a planet after all. Let's not question nature, I guess.

Filling this up

Yep. I definitely agree. We need to fill this up. Everything is so empty! These blogs are so empty! It's sad. But I don't want ours to be like that so it's not going to be. Maybe we should think of this as a glass half empty since so many people just abandon their blogs and now it's so sad... We want to enjoy reading about something and then we see that it's from like 7 years ago and we are like both staring at our screens thinking," What a waste!!!"

Monday, February 4, 2008

AHHHHH!

Brrrr.... It's cold... And late...

And we need to FILL THIS PLACE UP!

Come on people, where's your winter spirit?

Hm. Maybe it got lost in the laundry.

You know what? I'll go find it right now. Hopefully it didn't get bleached by that one shirt...
