My Poor Pinkie!

A while ago, I was doing this one drawing from this one drawing book {of course I don't want to be specific}. Anyway, it was this large, shark, thingy in pencil.

DID YOU KNOW THAT SKETCHES REQUIRE SHADING?

Yes, I'm sure you did know that.

So anyway, I usually use my pinkie to smear the lines + blend the graphite. Except after a while it gets red... and painful... and yet my drawing is still not done.

So finally I couldn't put up with it anymore and decided to go to one of those art stores and get a blending stick. Apparently these things are supposed to BLEND THINGS.

I got some, and then I tried to use it to smear they drawing, and YOU KNOW WHAT?

It's absolutely horrible. Does not work at all. Hm.

Here's what mine look like:
If you look closely you can see that it's constructed of layers and layers of paper.

So now I guess I'm back to torturing my poor pinkie. Oh, dear.

Lines on a Page

Every picture in the world in made out of lines. Everything in the world is also formed out of lines, well only in your vision. Colors are then added to the picture, making come to life. You see it in 3-D or 2-D or if it's really bad picture, you just see the lines that make up the page. Amazing isnt it? Letters are formed out of lines and lines form words. Words then form sentences, paragraphs, then a story or a book. Basically, if we looked at our world, we would see everything shaped by lines, straight or not, it just depends.
